Looking for a spacious family home? This extremely large and well-located town house is packed with outstanding features.
The layout of the property is split over three floors. The ground floor offers a spacious entrance, a generous size lounge, ground floor utility room and a kitchen dinner, Both utility room and the kitchen dinner lead onto your private garden.
The first floor comprises of Two double bedrooms and a family bathroom. The second floor comprises of a master bedroom with balcony offering views across London and a further double room and a family shower room.
This is what the current owners say about the hosue: My family and I have enjoyed and benefitted from all the comfort, convenience and culture that living in this house has afforded us.
The house was built in 2015 by renowned London builders Jerram Faulks. It was designed to meet the highest environmental standards, with solar panels, a whole house heat recovery unit, and an air purifying system and rainfall capture system. The garden includes a large bike box and composting. Moving here from a Victorian property, I’ve been struck by how easy this house is to maintain and keep clean. It’s also worth noting it’s still well within the 10-year warranty guaranteed by the builders.
As a large townhouse in a quiet residential street, with two parking spaces, outstanding primary schools and fantastic parks in short walking distance, it’s a perfect family home. Other highlights include the proximity of Walthamstow central, with its retail, hospitality and cultural offerings, as well as opportunities to escape the city for nature, to Walthamstow Marshes or Epping Forest. This has been especially valuable during the Covid-19 lockdowns of the past year. As a family, we’ve also really enjoyed the 20-minute cycle to the Olympic Park, and all the amenities available there. We’ve also enjoyed the range of sporting opportunities on offer: local gyms, ice-skating, horse-riding, West Ham and Leyton Orient football grounds, and local cricket clubs.
Transport links are good, with easy access to central London via the Overground and the Victoria line. One of the things I’ll miss most is enjoying the views from the top floor of the central London skyline at sunset.
The neighbourhood is friendly and diverse, and there is a strong sense of local community, including a residents’ association and strong links with local councillors and MP. We’ve made lots of friends here, but luckily we won’t be going far.
